What is the consulting?
The consulting sector has more than 15,000 companies in France and is worth 20 billion euros, which is extremely considerable. In fact, this field has doubled in size from 2009 to 2019 and will double again by 2031, yet it is a sector that is still rather unclear to many of us.
Consulting" is a word borrowed from the English language and means "business advice". This activity consists of a company requesting the services of a professional from outside the company who is recognised for his or her expertise in one or more specific fields. This professional is then called a "consultant".
The objective of any company is to improve its performance in all the functions of its company. Indeed, whether it is in the core of its activity or in related activities such as human resources, logistics, etc., improving performance is essential.
The stages of the consulting mission
In which areas is there the greatest need for consulting?
Sectors linked to the new industrial revolutions: digital sector, space or biology
The integration of a CSR approach within a company
Reorganisation and restructuring of companies and adaptation to new work organisations (teleworking, hybrid work, etc.)
Cyber security, e-commerce, FinTech and everything related to digital.
What is the advantage of combining consulting and professional training?
Once the consultant has identified, analysed and diagnosed the problems in the company he is working for, he must now deal with these malfunctions. All of this with the same goal in mind, which is to increase the company's performance and competitiveness thanks to the external vision provided by the consultant. To do this, the consultant will be able to offer professional training to the members of the company. These trainings can concern the basics of an activity if it is a question of training employees in a new branch or trainings allowing employees to acquire new methods proposed on the market in order to gain in efficiency. These training courses therefore enable the consultant to provide a concrete solution to the problems he has identified for the company. In this way, the professional training courses constitute a real support for the treatment of dysfunctions.
Consulting and professional training therefore go hand in hand. Indeed, it is difficult to have an adapted training without having diagnosed a real problem and issue beforehand, just as there cannot really be a complete consulting mission without proposing professional training if this is necessary to overcome the problems analysed.
